An important part of helping you to lose weight is to test your resting metabolic rate. This is the individual measure of calories you require while you rest.
There is a fixed amount of oxygen used for every calorie that you burn, so by also measuring the oxygen you breathe whilst resting we can work out your calorific requirements.
Along with the other fitness tests that we carry out (see our Fitness Testing section) we can then establish a programme for you and work out how long it will take you to lose a specific amount of weight.
We support you throughout your programme, monitoring your progress and if necessary altering the programme to suit as you start to lose weight and reach your goal.
